About Daylilies

Site:
Daylilies grow best in full sunlight but should have six hours of sunlight or more as a minimum. Daylilies will grow well in most soil but do the best in a slightly acidic, moist soil that includes organic matter and is well drained.

Planting:
Daylilies can typically be planted anytime during late spring, summer or early fall. Plants will arrive bare root with the foliage trimmed back to about 6 to 8 inches. Work up the soil in the area the plant is to be planted. Dig a hole a little larger than the roots. Place the Daylily in the soil so the portion where the root and foliage meet (crown) is about 1 inch below the soil. Lightly pack the soil and water the plants.
